Whoooo Hooooo and Babycakes has a boo boo!

Mother, Would you please just leave me alone? GOSH! I mean, really, can't you see that I just want some privacy! You just don't understand me at all!!!
HaHaHaHaHa! I really love you, Mommy!
BUT just in case you need reminding who's boss......
Whooo, All this attitude makes me sleepy!
Some people are born with a silver spoon in their mouths....I get purple plastic!
Does this puff camouflage my boo boo?
Can you see my little lip???
HMMMMMM, Can I milk this for something really great?

Can I have a drumroll please???? Anne Pearce slept from 8:00 last night until 7:00 this morning!!!!! Now is that progress or what? She is so much more comfortable sleeping in our room that it's amazing. She goes right off to sleep without a fuss......I know she has to feel better, and she's so HAPPY in the mornings!!!! We have had a major eye rolling marathon at our house this morning..... My daughter has spunk! Miss Priss slipped this morning on a toy and busted her bottom lip. She had a fit for about 10 seconds then went back to playing. We hope we hear that our long lost luggage is at the airport today, and we WILL be going to get it! Everyone have a great day!

The WILDEST Story EVAH!!!!!

OK, Long story, short. Do you all remember how we had luggage stolen on our way home from Guatemala??? Remember how we lost smocked dresses and MOST of Andrew's clothing???? Well, SHUT UP AND SIT DOWN!!!!!! We just got a call from SPIRIT airlines. Before I go any further we didn't fly SPIRIT....We flew CONTINENTAL!!!!! Spirit airlines found our bags in Fort Lauderdale, Florida!!!!! I have never been to Ft. Lauderdale in my life! They looked inside our bags and saw our information.(Thank you SPIRIT AIRLINES!!!) We always put a piece of paper with our contact info in every bag when we travel..... This time it payed off!!!! THEY HAVE OUR LUGGAGE!!!! OVER ONE MONTH LATER!! Can you believe this??? Andrew is on the phone as I type with Continental. They are calling Ft. Lauderdale to make sure our bags get transferred to them. I made Andrew give me the phone, and I BEGGED the guy to make sure that it doesn't get lost now...... My bible was in that bag! and a monogrammed blankie! and my fav pink and brown plaid shorts! Not to mention all of Andrew's stuff. We have replinished both of their wardrobes by now, but it will be nice to get all that stuff back. I wonder if all the stuff is even still in it???? I can't wait to see those bags.....It sounds like they have had quite the trip! You guys know I will take photos of the entire missing bag homecoming to share. WOW! That's all I can say: WOW! OK, Andrew just got off the phone, and he said some chick named Lorraine from Continental is on her way to get our bags!!!! She had already talked to Spirit!!!! WHOOO HOOOO the bags are there!!!!! They said they are shipping them out tomorrow. What a cool ending to our homecoming trip!!!!!

MAYA IS COMING HOME!!!!!!

After so much hard work on her mommy's part, Maya FINALLY got her pink slip today. Maya originally got out of PGN back in MARCH, and Ginger has been fighting NON-STOP since then to bring her daughter home. I should point out now that our OWN government dealt with her OH SO RUDELY! I have told Ginger that God sent her to Maya, because HE knew that she would fight for her and NEVER GIVE UP!!!! Isn't that part of the job description for a MAMA??? Ginger, I am so happy for both of you. YOU ROCK!!!!! Just let me know when you are flying into that airport, and AP and I will be there ready to celebrate!!!! LOVE YOU!

We have a new resident in our bedroom....

Well, we decided last night that maybe Anne Pearce just needs to be closer to us at night. SO, we moved her crib and put it right beside my side of the bed with the rail down. Last night was SO much better. She did wake up whining several times, but I just gave her a little pat, and back to sleep she went. We were up at 5:30 for a bottle, and then she slept until 10:00. Mommy did too. I love having her in there with us.....It's just what she needs right now. Carolyn sent me the sweetest email supporting us. Thank you, Carolyn! You rock!!!!!! I hope that each night just gets better and better. I don't think she's actually waking up all the way at night....she just kinds of whines in her sleep. I wonder if she's having baby nightmares?????

Happy Birthday, Logan and Why NO Sleepy??

Almost enough candles to start a forest fire!

He DID get them out! Check out the smoke!!!!
The best presents EVAH!
We gave AP a piece of cake.....she played with it more than she ate it!
Hey, let me see if I can get all this gooey stuff all over me!
Yep, I can!
Hey, Logan, thanks for sharing your cake with me!
I love you, Logan, and you are a fantastic big brother!!!!

First of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my wonderful now 13 year old Logan! Logan was at his dad's until late this afternoon, so we really didn't get to celebrate the way we like to. SO, tomorrow is "All About Logan Day". We are going to do all the things he wants to do...and eat some goodies I'm sure! I can't believe that my first baby is now a teenager!!!! A TEENAGER!!!!! I HAVE A TEENAGER FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!!! I DON'T FEEL OLD ENOUGH TO HAVE A TEENAGER!!! What do you do with a teenager, by the way??? Any suggestions would be appreciated!!!!

On another note, AP is not sleeping again. I feel like it's all my fault. Last week I got my haircut and left AP with her very loving and capable Aunt Lisa. She was fine the entire time she was with them, but payback came later!!! She was beside herself with me that entire night and next day. She was frantically keeping me in her sight at all times. I felt horrible for her. We don't talk a lot about this on our blogs, but everything isn't perfect. Our children have gone through tremendous changes in short periods of time. Can you imagine always being scared that the people you love the most are going to leave you???? She wasn't ready for me to leave her. I know some babies are fine, but obviously she wasn't ready. I am so thankful that I don't have to work anymore. I CANNOT imagine leaving her everyday. I had to work with Logan and Hayden, and I HATED leaving them, but they were completely attached and fine. Anne Pearce is another story. She is attached to all of us, but she can't take being away from us next. I WILL NOT BE LEAVING HER AGAIN for quite a while. That makes life very difficult at times, but I am blessed to have my mama and Daisy who will step in whenever they can. I know that eventually she will work through all these feelings and be fine. Until then we're all going to do whatever she needs us to do. That's a mommy and daddy's job!!!!! If anyone has any suggestions on attachment or any web sites I should visit or books I should read, PLEASE comment. I'll be sure to take plenty of pics during Logan Day and share later! Love to all you in blogging world!

One month ago today.....

We came home!!!!! Sometimes it feels like we've been home forever, and sometimes it feels like we've been home for 10 minutes! We have enjoyed every second of this time with AP (even the crying spells at night). She is the most fabulous baby! We all just adore her. She is saying bye-bye, huh?, mama, dada, and hi. She also waves when she says bye bye. The huh? is the funniest! Her hair is growing and is still crazy! She isn't crawling but is very close. She's getting up on all fours then gets ticked off, because she doesn't know where to go from there!!!! Anne Pearce is one busy girl! She's never still even for a second. She dances and bounces...... basically she's our entertainment. Who needs tv when you have an almost 10 month old. We had PJ day today and just hung out together. I am exhausted and ready for daddy to take over for the weekend!
Later!

For all the waiting mommies.......

Tonight as I was rocking my little pumpkin to sleep I stopped and just THOUGHT for a moment about the miracles that God created to send His little angel to me. He chose ME to be her mama out of all the millions of people on this earth. Just looking at her little face knowing that our heavenly father orchestrated all this for ME just humbles and amazes me. Tears streamed down my face, as I looked at Anne Pearce all the while thanking God for sending her to us. Would that moment have been any more perfect if I had one of those "miracle" babies home at 5 or 6 months old? NO! The moment was perfect, because that is the way God planned it. I don't know why so many of us have had such a wait, BUT I do truly believe that God's plan is truly perfect! Who are we to question the creator on HIS timeline???? Does that mean the waiting isn't horrible? HELL NO! Excuse my French! Waiting for Anne Pearce was the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life, but through that experience God made a better person out of me! He brought me closer to Him through the waiting. I think about all the mommies and daddies going through this difficult time of waiting, and my heart and prayers go out to you daily. What I want to give you tonight is HOPE and a PROMISE........ KNOW tonight that SOON your angels will be home with you, and you will be rocking them to sleep! KNOW that God chose YOU to parent one of HIS fatherless. KNOW that you have been given a mission that is so close to God's heart. KNOW that when your darling is home all this pain will be a distant memory. Don't give in to the fear and doubt and anger and depression and all the things that Satan uses to try to distract us! Keep you eyes on your reward and the PROMISE of God. On earth your reward is a precious package from Guatemala. Your eternal reward is even more wonderful for doing God's work! Can you just imagine the day when we are all in heaven laughing with the angels rejoicing over all God's mighty miracles??? I don't know if this rambling helped anyone or not........ I just felt the need to reach out to you tonight. In my prayer I actually FELT some of your pain. I like to think that maybe God is using me to let you know that this pain is temporary and that He hears you and will answer.

I love you all,
lou
